1. Candy Corn Sugar Cookie Pinwheels
The main ingredients that you will need for this treat are:
- Orange and yellow food coloring
- Rolled sugar cookies
All you have to do to make this fun a cute treat is divide the sugar cookie dough into three equal parts. Next, you will want to put two of the portions into small bowls so that you can add the food coloring. One layer will be left without food coloring. You will only need to add about 4-6 drops of the food coloring and then stir it. Add more drops for the preferred color that you want. Then, you will cover each bowl and chill them. Heat your oven to about 400 degrees and then get out the chilled dough. Roll the different colored dough and stack them on to each other. For your final step, you will want to roll the stacked layers up into a log-shaped cylinder, then slice the pinwheels off in 1/2 inch portions. Put them on your baking sheet at least 2 inches apart from each other. You will want to bake them for about 10 minutes or until they look to be a golden color. Take the pinwheels out of the oven and let them cool for a few minutes, and they will be ready to eat!
2. Halloween Cupcakes
Of course, you can buy cupcake mixes from any store near you! The only ingredients that you will need to complete making these cupcakes are:
- eggs
- vegetable oil
- water
- icing
- sprinkles
- cupcake liners
Most cupcake mixes always come with the directions on the back of how much of each ingredient that you will need and then you will mix it all together! Pour the mix into your cupcake liners and read how long your box says to bake your cupcakes for. After they’re done baking in the oven, you will take them out to let them cool, and once they’ve cooled down you can frost them any color you want and add sprinkles if you’d like!
3. Monster Eyeball Cookies
Another sweet treat to make along with your other Halloween treats are Monster Eyeball Cookies. The only ingredients needed to make these include:
- 1 box of white cake mix
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
- 8 ounces of cream cheese
- 1 egg
- powdered sugar
- food coloring
- candy eyeballs
The first thing that you will want to do is beat the butter, vanilla, egg, and cream cheese until it’s all fluffy. Next, you will want to mix in the cake mix, then you will want to divide the batter into separate bowls depending on how many different colors that you’ll want. Add your food coloring to each bowl and mix it so that it’s all combined. Chill it for about 30 minutes and then you will want to roll into balls and dip in a bowl of powdered sugar. Put each one onto a greased cookie sheet. Finally, you will want to bake at a temperature of 350 degrees for about 10-12 minutes. Make sure to add your candy eyeballs while your cookies are still warm and there you have it!
4. Caramel Apples
A classic fall treat is caramel apples. Caramel apples are so simple to make. For instance, the only ingredients that you will need to make these are these few items:
- Caramel candies
- Apples
- Topping of your choice (ex. crushed cereal, crushed up Oreos, or sprinkles!)
- Popsicle sticks
First, you will want to unwrap the caramel candies, however many you prefer, and put them into a small pan. Next, you will wash the apples that you have and put your popsicle sticks into each of your apples. The caramels will soon start to melt and you will want to add at least two tablespoons of water to the pot. Stir the candy in the pot until you see that it’s completely melted. Keep a close eye on the caramel because it can easily burn. Once you think that the caramel looks about done, you will take the pot off the heat and quickly dip your apples into the caramel. If you get to the bottom of the pot, then you will have to use a spoon to coat the apples that you have left. After your apples have been covered in the caramel, you can dip your caramel apples with the toppings that you chose. Finally, you will place all of your apples on the pan and put them in the refrigerator. If you don’t want to enjoy your apples cold, then you can take them out at least 10-15 minutes prior to eating.

Ingredients to make these cookies include:
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon of milk
- 1 egg
- 3 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup or 2 sticks of butter
- 1 cup of sugar
Next, you will also need the ingredients for the icing that will go on the cookies. These ingredients include:
- 3 cups of sugar
- 1/4 cup of light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1/4 teaspoon of almond or vanilla extract
- Black food coloring
Start mixing the flour, salt, and baking powder together in a bowl. Get another bowl out so that you can start to beat the butter and the sugar together. You will want to add the egg, the milk, and the vanilla and beat it until it’s all combined then you will add the flour mixture until it’s all combine. Then you will want to shape into a disk and wrap it into plastic, once that is wrapped, you can refrigerate for one hour. For the next step, you will want to preheat the oven to at least 350 degrees and line the baking sheets with parchment paper. Flour a clean workspace and roll out the dough until it’s pretty thick. Make sure you have a ghost cookie cutter so that you can create that ghost shape that you’re aiming for! Cut the cookies with the cutter and put them onto a baking sheet. Freeze them for about a good 10 minutes. After this step, you will bake until they look to be a nice golden color. This should only take about 8-10 minutes.
Time for Icing!
Get out a medium bowl and combine the sugar, corn syrup, milk, and almond extract. Place 1/4 of icing into a bowl and dye black with your black food coloring. Put about half the white icing in a piping bag fitted with a round tip and then you will pipe the edges around the cookies. Thin remaining white icing by adding 1 teaspoon of milk at a time until icing goes on smoothly. The icing will then go into another piping bag with a small round tip, and this is when you will want to fill in the centers of the ghost cookies! Make sure to get rid of air bubbles that you might see pop up and spread the icing on the entire cookie. Let the cookies cool and then add your eyes to your ghosts with the black icing!
