Although we are crossing our fingers Hurricane Irma weakens, we wanted to pass along this comprehensive supply check list from channel 9 in case you should need it.
Here are a few other quick things to think about:
+ Fill up your car early in the week with gas to avoid long line
+ Have cash (in smaller denominations) on hand
+ Make sure you also think ahead when it comes to furry friends. Consider stocking up on their food and having any medications and leashes in one spot in case you should need them.
Insurance:
1. Call your insurance provider to check on your individual policy – and check to see if you have flood insurance. Ask your insurance company what they would need from you should you need to make a claim after the storm.
2. Make sure you have a copy of your policy and the number for your insurance company on hand and in a flood/fire proof box or in a ziplock bag in case of flooding.
3. We also advise you take a quick video or a few photos of the exterior of your home and each room – should a claim be necessary this will help with the process.
