Have you always lived in Central Florida? Where do you consider ‘home?’
I actually grew up in North Miami, but I consider Central Florida to be my home since I have been here for the past twenty-four years.
What are your hobbies outside of selling real estate?
You can find me volunteering at the Winnie Palmer NICU. I am also very active within the PTA. I am very close to my boxer and we enjoy going for walks out in the Florida sun. I also love being able to kayak at any of the spots in Central Florida. I have also taken up learning American Sign Language. That is something that can come in handy when working with a diverse group of people. I have learned how to survive at all the Central Florida theme parks with triplets. Lastly, I also like being able to do yard work.
What are some things that you have learned and that surprised you about real estate after becoming an agent?
The smartest investment I ever made was buying my first home on my own straight out of college. I love it when I see current students doing the same. I have learned that the market can go up or down, but owning your own property is never a bad idea. I was surprised to see how fast properties last on the market in certain subdivisions. I have also learned that having the right lender can make almost anything possible in the toughest of circumstances.
Where does your inspiration come from when it comes to selling real estate?
My passion for real estate stems from my love of seeing homes since I was fourteen. Most teenagers want to go on dates to the movies or hang out with friends. I would honestly drag my friends to model homes and open houses! I love seeing homes so much that I tend to move every four years just so that I can experience every side of town!
How has your personal life blended into your life as an Agent in a positive way?
My triplets enjoy seeing open houses and model homes as well. (They especially love when the homes have an elevator or fort!) I am very involved in the school systems and love doing presentations for both the students and the teachers on the whole home buying process. I think every single one of my friends and family members is set up with a daily property search!
What are your favorite things about living in Central Florida?
What is there not to love!? All the various higher education opportunities. The exciting thrills of visiting the wonderful theme parks. Gatorland is also an awesome opportunity to visit. You can also have the ability to check out the Black Hammock. You can go strawberry or blueberry picking. The shopping in Orlando is absolutely amazing with so many great options of stores to choose from. The beaches are great, the hiking trails are so extraordinary, the parks, the weather, and all of the great people that you will have the opportunity to meet when living here.
