WeMate Spotlight: Meet Orlando Realtor® and Transaction Manager, Adriana Velasquez
Some people in real estate are the ones you see touring homes, negotiating offers, and celebrating at the closing table. Others are the steady hands behind the scenes, making sure every detail comes together exactly when it should.

At Wemert Group Realty, Adriana Velasquez is one of those people. As a Transaction Manager, she helps guide contracts from accepted offer to closing day, working closely with agents, clients, lenders, and title companies to keep every detail organized and moving forward. While many clients may not realize how much happens behind the scenes during a real estate transaction, Adriana helps make the process feel smoother and far less overwhelming for everyone involved.
“I love helping,” she shared. “I love being that person that our agents and clients can rely on.”
That mindset has shaped the way she’s approached real estate since joining Wemert Group Realty in 2017.
From Showing Homes to Managing Closings
Adriana first joined the team as a showing partner for one of the agents at WGR, spending her days helping buyers tour homes and navigate the early stages of the process. After about a year in the field, she realized she wanted to learn more about what happens behind the scenes once a client goes under contract.
“I learned a lot from being in the field as an agent,” Adriana said. “But I wanted to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes because it’s a whole different world.”
That curiosity eventually led her into operations, where she transitioned into her current role as a Transaction Manager. Today, she helps oversee the many moving pieces between contract and closing, often starting her mornings by reviewing documents, checking compliance, and tracking important deadlines before spending the rest of the day communicating with agents, clients, lenders, and title companies.
It is detail-oriented work that requires patience, consistency, and strong communication, especially during moments when clients may already feel overwhelmed by the process. Because Adriana has experienced the homebuying journey herself, she understands those emotions firsthand.
Helping Clients Navigate Big Decisions
Buying or selling a home can feel exciting, stressful, and emotional all at once. Adriana knows that personally because she has gone through the process herself. She purchased her first home in 2006 and still remembers how emotional the experience felt.
“It was a roller coaster,” she said with a laugh.
That experience continues to shape the way she approaches her role today. She understands that clients are making one of the biggest decisions of their lives, and sometimes even small moments of reassurance can make a meaningful difference.
“What motivates me is knowing that I’m helping our agents meet their goals and helping our clients make one of the most important decisions in their lives.”
One of her favorite parts of the job is helping first-time homebuyers through the process. She understands that the process can feel intimidating at first, so her goal is always to help clients feel informed, supported, and a little less stressed along the way. Supporting clients through those moments is something Adriana says becomes much easier when you are surrounded by the right team.
A Team-First Approach to Real Estate
One of the things Adriana values most about working at Wemert Group Realty is the collaborative environment between agents and staff.
“No matter what comes up, there’s somebody there to help you see the situation from a different perspective and help you find a solution,” she explained. “We learn from each other every single day.”
That team-first mentality is something many people describe when talking about life at WGR. Agents and staff work closely together, constantly sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and helping solve problems as a team. For Adriana, that environment makes all the difference.
Building a Life in Central Florida
Originally from a small beach town in Venezuela, Adriana grew up surrounded by warm weather, family, and weekends spent near the water. In fact, she could walk from her home to the beach in about 10 to 15 minutes.
“We spent every weekend at the beach,” she shared. “Every vacation, every time off that we had, we were at the beach.”
She moved to the United States in 1998 after graduating from high school. At just 16 years old, she made the move on her own, eventually building a life and career here in Central Florida. While she misses the beaches she grew up around, Central Florida has become home in many ways. One of the things she loves most about living here is the weather.
“I’m not a fan of the cold,” she joked. “I like shorts and flip-flops.”
Today, weekends often look a little different from how they did growing up in Venezuela, but they still revolve around the things Adriana loves most: family, warm weather, and being close to the water.
Life Outside the Office
Outside of work, Adriana’s favorite thing is spending time with her family. If they are not at the beach, they are usually spending time at the theme parks. She especially loves visiting Disney Springs and Disney’s Hollywood Studios with her daughter, even if they are more fans of the rides than the actual Star Wars movies.
You can also often find Adriana enjoying weekends at Cocoa Beach or St. Pete Beach whenever there is an opportunity for a quick beach day. She also appreciates life’s simple moments like a cappuccino at home in the morning, a relaxing beach day with family, or a Hallmark movie!
There is a calmness to the way Adriana talks about life, family, and helping others, the same calmness she brings into her role every day at WGR.
The Steady Presence Behind Every Transaction
Real estate transactions are made up of hundreds of moving pieces, many of which clients never fully see behind the scenes. Adriana takes that responsibility seriously.
Whether she is helping an agent solve a problem, guiding a first-time homebuyer through the next step, or simply offering reassurance during a stressful moment, she approaches the work with patience and care.
She may work behind the scenes, but the impact she has on the client experience is felt every step of the way.
