On a serious note, did you know Gov. Scott has declared STATE OF EMERGENCY for every county in Florida to prepare for Hurricane Irma.
By declaring a state of emergency Governor Scott is ensuring that local governments have ample time, resources and flexibility to get prepared for this dangerous storm and are not hindered, delayed or prevented from taking all necessary actions to keep our communities safe.
This also means that price gouging of essential commodities such as food, ice, gas, wood and hotels during a declared state of emergency is prohibited. Good news for those of us getting ready for the storm!
