I am a REALTOR® with a teacher’s touch. Before real estate, I earned my degree and master’s in education and taught children with learning disabilities. That experience gave me patience, clear communication skills, and the ability to guide people step by step, qualities I bring to every transaction. Since 2005, I’ve been helping clients buy and sell homes, and my approach to real estate is all about building relationships.

My reputation is especially strong in the Lake Nona and Moss Park communities, where I’ve been an active resident and neighbor since 2003. I want to be remembered for my warmth and respected for my commitment to prompt, meaningful, and transparent communication. Over the years, I’ve also had the privilege of serving on the local Agent Leadership Council and leading a top-performing team of agents. My success has come from repeat business and word-of-mouth referrals from clients who appreciate the care I put into each step of the process. Outside of real estate, I’m a proud mother of two talented and warmhearted adult children, a grandmother, and the wife of Jim Light, an architect-turned-Realtor®. Whether I’m boating on the lake, gardening, or enjoying a Friday date night trying a new restaurant, I’m grateful for the life we’ve built here in Orlando and love helping others find their place in this community, too.

    Carey was both VERY friendly and professional! She had obviously done her homework because the first time that she came to our house she had all of the information regarding homes that had been recently been sold in our neighborhood and suggested what price we should list our home for and asked us what we thought about that price. The price seemed very fair to us. Carey obtained a bid for our home for the exact amount that we listed it for within one week after we listed the home for sale. We also needed to obtain a two month lease-back for the house while our new home was being completed. Carey got that concession the Buyer for us also.
