Q: Have you always live in the Central Florida area? Where do you consider to be ‘home’?

A: Eric grew up in a small town of 9,000 people in Idaho. He moved to Orlando when he was 21 to go to school and made it his home! Kristy grew up in Oviedo and went to elementary, middle, high school, and college (Go Knights!) all within 1 mile of her childhood home. Home is now in Winter Park, but we’re far from home bodies! We spend most of our time exploring new areas & restaurants all over Central Florida!

Q: What are some things that you have learned and that surprised you about real estate after becoming an agent?

A: We thought going into it “We get to meet new people and look at pretty homes 24/7” and that was all our day was going to be; but it’s so much more and in a good way! We had to learn how to dissect contracts and become fluent with the language. We had to learn to look past the fresh coat of paint and pay attention to what’s inside of the walls. We’re studying the housing market daily to get top value for our sellers while protecting our buyers, and we had to master marketing a family’s home that reflects how proud they were to live there that also attracts another family to want to purchase it. It was surprising how much more really happens behind the scenes that we didn’t think of before becoming agents. We make it our mission to always be learning something new every day so we can better serve the people we work with.

Q: How has your personal life blended into your life as an Agent in a positive way?

A: Making real estate a part of our lifestyle has allowed us to continue to put family first. In everything we do in our personal lives and in our business, we ask if it’s aligned with our family values? That question keeps us on track to always take care of our customers as if they’re our own family. We have two little girls and we’re always on the go to a family event, but we’re taking calls on the way there and stopping along the way to open a door for a Buyer. We don’t treat our personal life separate from real estate; we incorporate real estate into our personal life which ultimately allows us to be a part of both at a higher level.

Q: Where does your inspiration come from when it comes to selling real estate?

A: People, people, people. A home isn’t a home without a family; it’s just a house. It’s the people inside the house that make it a home! That might sound cheesy, but that’s what we truly believe. We cherish all of our differences and individuality, different backgrounds, different thought-processes, etc. We value getting to know people for who they really are, learning what’s important to them, and partnering with them to turn their vision of what a home should be into reality is the most inspirational part of selling real estate for us!

Q: What are your hobbies outside of real estate?

A: Our two little girls are our favorite hobby!!! We are big music lovers and love to go to concerts and festivals. We’re huge foodies, so if there’s a new restaurant, we’ll be there. We’re also big Miami Dolphins & UCF fans, so we try to go to the games whenever we can! Eric is always working on some type of project at our house so don’t hesitate to ask what he’s building that month. Lastly, we may or may not have a small Disney obsession!

Q: What, if anything, would you want your future clients to know about you?

A: Both of us are incredibly positive people and have uplifting energy, but sometimes that holds people back from telling us the things that aren’t so positive. You are our top priority. We both value honesty above all else and you won’t hurt our feelings if you tell us you don’t like something or feel frustrated. We want you to tell us right away so we can correct the course! We sell real estate, but we’re not salesmen. We want you to know in your heart this is the best home for you and your family, so don’t be afraid to speak up if we missed the mark or if there’s something we can do better.
