How long have you been an Agent, and what is your favorite part about being one?
I am just entering my sixth year. I love negotiating for a client to get the best deal.
Have you always lived in Central Florida? Where do you consider ‘home?’
I packed up my car with $600 in my pocket and came to Orlando right after college graduation in Omaha, NE. I didn’t know anyone but it worked out. This is my home, this is where I met my husband. We have lived all over the states and abroad, but as soon as we could, we came back to Orlando. As big Disney nerds, we were lucky enough to find a house that has an excellent fireworks view every night.
Where does your inspiration come from when it comes to selling real estate?
When we bought our first home in Sacramento, I remember feeling kind of jealous of our agent. I realized it is the type of job I was made to do. I love the process of working with someone, really investing in what they need and helping them find it then seeing that through until the end. I love that the harder you work the luckier you are when it comes to real estate, and I’m happy to work hard if it means I can reach my goals of paying for our kids’ college educations and investing in real estate. We are hoping to adopt someday soon.
What are your favorite things about living in Central Florida?
Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Studios. Honorary mention to November, December, January and February 🙂
How has your personal life blended into your life as an Agent in a positive way?
My kids shamelessly hand out my card. They flagged down a car driving through the neighborhood and made them wait so my daughter could get them a card. I have countless drawings of me in front of a house putting a yard sign up. I love showing them that hard work pays off.
What, if anything, would you want your future clients to know about you?
I would say that it is definetley not my third hobby. Maybe that I can make a dad joke at the end of an email like a boss.
