What is your title at Wemert Group Realty and how does it apply to the real estate industry?
Photography is an extremely important part of real estate! In today’s real estate industry, strong visuals are an important part of attracting buyers to our listings and giving them a glimpse of what could be their future home! It’s also a must when showing potential clients that we take extra steps to market their properties as best as we can, emphasizing the strength of having the full team working on their behalf as opposed to an agent that is perhaps less committed or prepared. Good photography can make or break the sale of a home in today’s world of social media and technology and here at WGR we are dedicated to making our homes look top notch.
How has your past job experiences helped you with your title at Wemert Group Realty?
Prior to working at WGR, I did work in real estate for another agent who is now also part of the team – Tony Galarza. I worked as a marketing assistant, doing things like newsletters and flyers, social media posts, data entry for MLS and a handful of other things. One additional role of this position was of course, taking photos at the listings we had. This began my journey into photography and after leaving that team I continued to work full time as a graphic designer at a few other locations while continuing freelance real estate photography on the side until I got that fateful message from Jenny Wemert one evening asking if I’d like to come in for an interview!
What are some of your hobbies outside of working at Wemert Group Realty?
I still do maintain freelance work on the weekends, but I take time to enjoy other types of photography just for fun when inspiration hits. I enjoy finding new restaurants and food spots to peruse, a trip to the movies or a day at one of the Disney parks, but continuing freelance work on the weekends is always a top priority.
Have you always lived in Central Florida? Where do you consider home?
I was ten years old when I moved here with my family from Toronto, Canada. Having grown up here, Orlando has been considered home for almost 20 years at this point for me, some of the fondest memories were made in this town!
